Uncover Podcast Mysteries In Quarry Depths

By Tom Seest

How Long Is the Podcast At the End Of the Quarry?

At PodcastBig, we help new podcasters develop strategies to create content, traffic, and revenue from podcasts based on our experiences and experimentation.

There are various strategies you can employ to complete the game. One way would be to collect all the evidence locations from each chapter and convince the podcast host of what occurred at Hackett’s Quarry.
Another way to end the game is by killing Silas in his lair and breaking his curse, thus turning any characters who were affected back into normal individuals.

How Do You Skip The Ending?

Supermassive Games (the creators of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology) latest horror-adventure, The Quarry, offers plenty of ways for players to alter the outcome of its story, with even a couple of secret endings waiting to be explored by those willing to go the extra mile.
Once the credits begin rolling at the conclusion of The Quarry, a podcast episode called Bizarre Yet Bonafide will play to discuss all that has occurred at Hackett’s Quarry over its 25-minute course. Unfortunately this event cannot be skipped.
This podcast episode is of paramount importance in The Quarry as it will decide who lives or dies at its conclusion. As there are numerous outcomes possible in The Quarry’s conclusion, players should listen as long as possible so as to take in all that could possibly unfold in this podcast episode.
Making wise choices throughout The Quarry will increase your odds of reaching its successful ending, with all counselors making it through unscathed. However, it’s possible that bad choices could occur and some counselors become infected; should this occur, it would likely mean missing out on its good outcome and perhaps leading them towards death instead.
One of the greatest missteps a player can make in The Quarry is failing to save Laura, one of its key characters who plays an instrumental role in its story and can have an enormous impact on its final outcome. One early instance is when Laura flees after Nick is attacked in chapter three and Silas chases after her; eventually she ends up hiding behind a rock from being noticed by Silas (because she wasn’t covered with blood like other counselors). When Silas approaches Laura again, she manages to evade detection but doesn’t seem bothered enough by him; unlike its counterpart, a werewolf approaches her but doesn’t take notice due to being covered in blood like other counselors are.
To save Laura, players will need to complete all Quick-Time Events in the game and choose the correct options at every turn in order to avoid her being reduced back to human form and keep her as an advisor instead.

What Happens If You Don’t Shoot Constance?

Early in The Quarry, players must decide if they wish for Constance to live or die based on personal preference and how they interact with her during gameplay. If you wish to save Constance, make sure that she fails her Quick Time Event in Chapter Nine where she attempts to steal Laura’s shotgun – or otherwise use your gun against her and shoot her instead! To save Constance you may wish to ensure she fails her Quick Time Event before firing your gun into her face to save her.
One key decision in The Quarry is whether to save or kill Silas. Saving Silas may help prevent an outbreak in Hackett’s Quarry from spreading further; however, doing so may lead to disastrous consequences; in order to spare him, however, you must complete Laura’s QTE against Silas when he attacks in order to break his curse and keep infection contained within one person’s body.
Other crucial decisions in The Quarry include saving Ryan. Doing so is vital to getting the optimal ending in The Quarry; players must complete all their QTEs successfully if they hope to do so successfully, such as not shooting him when infected and running away when attacked by creatures.
Players have another option available to them when it comes to Bobby: stabbing instead of killing. This decision will have a direct impact on The Quarry’s best ending; should you opt for this route, all mortal blows and shotgun blasts must be spared until Bobby informs Jedediah that he is infected – providing vital information that may prevent his transformation into a werewolf during chapter 5.
The Quarry is an engaging horror game, yet its ending leaves much to be desired. Although Supermassive Games claims 186 unique endings for this title, none are particularly satisfying; Supermassive’s developers can do better as evidenced by Until Dawn and Dark Pictures Anthology titles; perhaps future offerings from their studio will provide more satisfying conclusions to their engaging journeys.

What Happens If You Don’t Save Dylan’s Hand?

Dylan is a Counsellor in The Quarry and plays multiple important roles during the game. His knowledge of technology helps the group immensely; in addition, his intelligence makes completing skill checks effortless. While not in immediate danger during most encounters, there are steps you can take to help Dylan survive and survive!
The first time he comes under threat is when he enters the Radio Tower with Ryan and is chased by a Werewolf, but participation is optional and recommended; taking part will result in Ryan possibly dying from blood loss but the monster not killing everyone in your group, giving you an optimal ending and earning you the ‘rough Night’ Trophy.
Another time he will come under threat is when the group goes to the scrapyard. There, he can attempt to hide in a freezer; however, should this fail, an aggressive monster will maul him to death! However, saving him may still be possible by failing a Quick Time Event (QTE) or intervening during a Don’t Breathe event.
Dylan can only survive by keeping himself free of infection. This can be accomplished by not breaking into cabins in Chapter 1 or not cutting his hand off at the radio hut in Chapter 8. Otherwise, Ryan would have no option but to cut his arm off using a chainsaw at Chapter 9; Ryan then must cut it off as quickly as possible or risk having Ryan kill Dylan with it himself, thus unlocking only one path – “Helping Hand”. However, if saved early enough from the infected, Ryan will survive, and his fate in Chapter 10 can change accordingly, along with epilogue consequences.
