How do you listen on the go with Apple Podcasts?

Apple’s podcast app with its purple icon lives on your iPhone’s Home screen (you can also access it via Notification Center and Spotlight search). Once signed in with your Apple ID, the app syncs all your downloaded episodes automatically; should you want a backup copy, you can always download them again anytime!
Once an episode is ready for download, a small cloud icon will appear next to its name in your Library. When tapping it you will also see more options including one called Download. Once an episode is saved, you can play it back at any time without using data, and it will even continue playing when you leave or lose connection!
If your storage space is becoming limited, tapping Settings General Podcasts allows you to limit how many episodes are saved by selecting two of three options – the latest 2, 3, 5, or 10 episodes per show or all episodes (which also gives the option to hide played episodes that remain until manually deleted).
The settings menu provides you with all the controls to tailor the Podcasts app to your exact specifications. Here you can select how many episodes should be saved for offline listening, whether downloaded and played episodes should remain on your device after they have been watched and whether notifications appear when new or updated episodes become available.
This page also allows you to select your playback speed and customize how far forward and back skip buttons move in short increments. In addition, this section lets you configure whether cellular data will be used for streaming and downloads within the Podcasts app.
Purchasing an iPhone? Transferring podcasts using AnyTrans is a quick and simple way to ensure they make it onto both devices seamlessly. Once connected to a computer, download will begin immediately; once it completes, simply move podcasts from your old iPhone using iTunes or the Settings app on the new one.

What Are the Best Podcast Apps for iPhone?

Podcasting is an increasingly popular pastime, and Apple has its own app called Podcasts, which makes playing episodes on your iPhone simple. Plus, the Podcasts app’s Settings app contains several useful settings that can enhance the listening experience – such as controlling how notifications are delivered or whether episodes will use cellular data to download episodes – that will enhance your listening experience further.
Opening the Podcasts app on your iPhone is easy and straightforward; browse charts or featured tabs to locate podcasts you wish to listen to, or search by name for specific shows or episodes. Once selected, tapping any episode’s title either plays it immediately or adds it directly into your queue for later listening – plus you can adjust playback speeds from 0.75x up to approximately 2x!
If you enjoy a certain show, subscribing will ensure that new episodes will automatically download to your device. This is ideal if you need to catch up while traveling or simply want the assurance of always being able to listen to them even without an Internet connection.
One useful setting is the option to sync podcasts between all of your Apple devices, which is especially helpful if you use more than one device at once. To do this, open up Podcasts Settings app and toggle Sync Podcasts; once signed into Apple ID your podcasts will automatically synchronize across devices.
The Podcasts app is also compatible with Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, allowing for hands-free control of podcast playback. Use its voice-controlled feature to skip, pause, or replay episodes; set a playlist or custom station; share an episode by tapping its speaker icon; Wired Clip is reader-supported so purchases made through links may net us commission without additional cost to you; learn more here.

What are some creative ways to share podcasts?

Podcasts can be an excellent way to stay up-to-date with current trends and gain business inspiration. If you find a particularly intriguing episode, the Podcasts app makes sharing easy; simply use social media, iMessage or any other sharing link app and send it along! Alternatively, download it as an audio file and send it along!
Podcast playback controls are straightforward, offering just a Play/Pause button, skip forward/back buttons and a progress indicator at the bottom of your screen. Furthermore, you can adjust playback speed between 0.75x to 2x; this may come in handy if you have difficulty hearing or understanding certain podcasts.
If you subscribe to a podcast, simply tap its cover art on its information page to view a list of available episodes and select one to start listening immediately. Alternatively, resume where you left off in an ongoing series by tapping an episode listed under Recently Played.
The Podcasts app also works seamlessly with Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant. Siri allows you to control playback of a podcast episode – from playing, pausing, skipping or leapfrogging it to asking Siri to repeat an entire episode if desired.
Once your iPhone’s storage becomes full of downloaded podcasts, its memory could fill up quickly. To reduce downloads further, open Settings Storage & iCloud Usage, then turn off Podcasts in the Storage Options menu to reduce podcast downloads.
iTunes, Quick Start or AnyTrans are great ways to transfer podcasts between iPhones without using an adaptor cable – each program can help transfer photos, videos, contacts, messages and files between multiple iOS devices with just a single download!
If you’re transitioning to a new iPhone, transferring podcast items with iTunes is the simplest way of moving them over. Alternatively, iCloud synchronization makes this task even simpler, synching content across all of your iCloud-enabled devices at the same time.

Are you drowning in podcasts?

Keeping certain settings configured when using the Podcasts app regularly is highly recommended. For instance, you can control which episodes download (if at all), their order and even how much data the podcast consumes when streaming over mobile connections. If this data usage concerns you, disable automatic downloads or only stream over Wi-Fi to reduce usage.
Set these settings by tapping the three-dot button on an episode or tapping More on a podcast’s details screen, and selecting Play next or Save for later, Never download, Don’t update automatically, or set a sleep timer so the program stops playing at a specific date or time.
Once your podcast listening session is over, picking up where you left off can be as simple as opening the app and selecting an episode under Recent Played or selecting one from the Top List. You may also switch to AirPlay or Bluetooth streaming if available or pair your iPhone with Siri for hands-free control of playback in a car stereo setup.
Podcasts app’s Station feature is another unique offering, making it easier than ever before to curate shows by theme or category – for instance sports or murder mystery podcasts could all fit under this one umbrella! There are additional options like station summaries and hiding recently played episodes if desired.
Finally, you can access a comprehensive list of your subscriptions by tapping the podcast icon at the bottom of the navigation bar. From here you can see all your active subscriptions and even cancel them if desired – or turn on Renewal Receipts which will notify you via email before your subscription renews!
